There's also this one, which quite a few people have found useful:

http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Docs/Drafts/BuildingPackagesGuide

Oh, and the validator for the email address in your comment system is broken.

loupgaroublond,

I also work for Guru Labs which has this helpful documentation[1], its just that I didn't understand all of the features until recently (and still don't completely). I feel much better though knowing there is an official Red Hat guide as well.

Thanks,

Herlo

Why, from Red Hat's own Magazine of course. :P

I spent thanksgiving break actually learning about the RPM process itself, and it was very rewarding. This was my starting point. In the Fedora docs, there are more details about Fedora specific stuff, but these articles are probably the sanest way to start.

Haha, awesome. Today I was looking into installing Giver on my Fedora system; it was a completely random idea. I remembered hearing about it in some coverage of Novell Hack Week, and decided it would be fun to try out. It turned out to be very troublesome (obviously), and I gave up. A few hours later, I see this post show up in my news aggregator.

Good luck! I can't wait to try it out.
